I love this Wales when she dresses up for Springtime. In Winter she’s frizzled and sad, a old hag wailing among the branches. Summer sees her as a garlanded woman, desiring, desirable. But Wales in Springtime, is a maid all dancing, red lipped, with a skirt of green rushes and a bodice of blossom. What place can compare, in Spring, with my beautiful country?
