Some of us enjoyed ourselves:-

While some of us got on with the job in hand:-

The Joey Attrill Walk.

In the late 19th century, Joey Attrill, the coxswain of the Bembridge life boat walked from the Easterly tip of the island to the Western Bay of Colwell  in order to help crew the lifeboat  and rescue the crew of a ship aground in the gale. He walked 17 miles directly into the South Westerly  and helped row the lifeboat out to the stricken ship: sensibly, we just did the walk.

Keep your heads down!

Return to past events.
