Return to Recent Walks
There were two walks, one of six miles and one of ten. Keith Donovan led the 10miler and Tom Thomas the six.The weather was fine but a little chilly at times, fortunately the threatened showers never materialised.

The rolling countryside, a little different to what we’re used to, produced a profusion of flowers and wildlife. The small hamlets we passed through, all built with the same stone, were admired by all (until house prices were introduced into the conversation).

The bus was almost full so, providing everybody walked, we had 51 participants enjoying the countryside and the local architecture.

The 10m walk finished at 3.30. The 6m walk some time earlier leaving plenty of time to wander around Burton-on-the-Water, shop in the many outlets and perhaps sample the local brews. A great day was had by all.
